In roulette, your chance of winning on a certain number (or combination) is always the same. Reason: Roulette is, contrary to poker, a game of luck. Never ever believe people who say that it is more probable to hit red than black, just because black has been hit 20 time in a row. The probability stays unchanged at 50% (disregarding the green zero here). Black can be hit one million times in a row, the probability for red does not grow. The probability of a series of black beeing hit 1 million times is extremely low of course, but what you have to regard at the roulette table is always the next round. Let’s prove something:

• A series of four times black. Probability is: 0,5 * 0,5 * 0,5 * 0,5 = 0,0625
• A series of three times black and then red: 0,5 * 0,5 * 0,5 * 0,5 = 0,0625
• A series of red, black, black, red: 0,5 * 0,5 * 0,5 * 0,5 = 0,0625

Why is this? Black and red are equally likely so what I have calculated is the probability of the whole series. As a result, it doesn’t matter which color appears when, every series is equally likely. And a certain series of one million times the same colour is - viewed from the beginning of the series! - very improbable.

The only strategies that exist for roulette are money management strategies, that is, decide how much money to spend and leave the table when you have reached your goal. There are betting strategies that recommend doubling your bet every time you lose. Well, if you have really a lot of money, this might work. My personal strategy is: To have fun and not to take gambling too seriously. Good luck!
